Frequently asked questions
Straight answers, including on what Onde does not do.
What exactly is Onde?
A media player and organiser. You add your own sources; Onde cleans names, merges duplicates, shows the programme guide and helps you find what to watch. It adds news from your region, scores and a free prediction game with friends.
Does Onde provide channels, movies, series or playlists?
No. Onde does not provide, host, sell or index any audiovisual content, channel, playlist or subscription. On first launch the app is empty: it waits for your source.
Where do I find a source?
Onde recommends no provider and cannot point you to one. You use what you already have the right to use: a subscription you hold, a list you created or were legitimately given, content whose rights you own.
Is it legal?
Onde is a player, like any media player. What matters is the source you add: you declare that you have the right to access and use it in your country, and you alone are responsible for the content you access. Using Onde to access works without their owners’ permission is prohibited. This is not legal advice; if in doubt, ask a professional.
Is Onde an IPTV app?
Onde can play sources in common formats, M3U and Xtream, which people sometimes associate with that word. It remains a neutral player: it includes no source, names no provider and promotes none.
What happens to my access (address, username, password)?
It stays on your device, in the system’s secure storage. Requests to your source go straight from your device to your provider, without passing through Onde.
What data does Onde send to its servers?
Depending on the features you use: your region’s edition for news; if you allow it, a position rounded to about 10 km for the agenda; for AI, your phrase and at most 12 titles, never an address, a credential or adult-rated content; for predictions, a random player ID and your nickname. No account, no ads. Details in the privacy policy.
Are the predictions about money?
No. The game is free: no stake, no money or prize to win. It is for people aged 16 and over and works with a nickname.
Where do news, scores and events come from?
From public third-party sources, for information only and with no guarantee of accuracy. Every headline keeps its source visible and links to the article. The list is under « Licences and sources ».
Is Onde free?
Yes, with no account. Onde Plus is planned: $14.99 a year or $39.99 for life, coming later. The details will be announced before launch.
What about the App Store and Google Play?
Soon, with no date announced. Direct download (Mac, Android) is available today.
I am a rights holder: how do I report an item?
Write to the contact address with the identification of the work, where it appears in Onde, your details and your good-faith statements. Onde reviews every request, aims to reply within 5 working days and can remove an item or disable a feature in a region without waiting for a new release. See « Reporting and removal of content ».
